Phi is an album of eight compositions for psycho-physical relaxation. Each track, lasting 8 to 6 minutes, is performed with instruments tuned to the 'scientific pitch' of 432 Hz, using either the Pythagorean scale or the equal-tempered scale depending on the piece.

What makes Phi unique is the compositional method. Drawing on recent discoveries by the musician Giovanna Conti, each piece is based on the second law of Germanic New Medicine (the law of biphasicity), which governs all living processes.

According to this biological law, the duration of each track is divided into a sympathicotonic phase and a vagotonic phase following the golden ratio. The second phase is further subdivided (again using the golden ratio) into three passages: resolution, epileptoid crisis, resolution. Harmony and melody emphasize these different movements.

Phi was mixed and mastered by Simone Cerchiaro at 40 Sound and Radice Sonora studio (Padua, Italy).
